The Russian Embassy legalization sector offers different consular services to the Russian and Canadian citizens. It certifies Canadian documents that are intended to be used in Russia, such as: birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, powers of attorney, degrees. Also, the legalization sector provides document legalization services to the Canadian corporations and firms.
The legalization sector of the Russian Embassy is located in Ottawa, Canada and open to the public everyday from 9.30am to 12.30pm, except weekends and Russian Holidays.
Note: To get the Canadian documents legalized by the Russian Embassy legalization sector, the documents must be authenticated by the Global Affairs Canada Authentication Sector first!
In order to receive the consular services from the Russian Embassy legalization sector, a prior appointment is required. The documents for legalization services will not be accepted via mail or courier services. The applicants are required to be appeared in person by the appointment only or delegate the Legalization Service Centre (LSC) in Ottawa to represent them at the Russian Embassy legalization sector.
The LSC will assist the applicants with the authentication of documents at the Global Affairs Canada and with the subsequent legalization service at the Russian Embassy legalization sector in Ottawa.
